WATER, WHAT IS IT?

Water
is a key component of life on earth. It sustains life, influences
weather & is one of nature most charismatic features.
Water is technically known as H2O. This
refers to the fact that a H2O molecule comprises
one hydrogen atom & two oxygen atoms.
Water is the liquid version of H2O. If water
is cooled it becomes ice, a solid substance. If water is heated
it becomes water vapour, which is a gas.
Moisture, is a term used to describe 'a little' of H2O!
Either in the vapour or liquid state.
Very often, we acknowledge the presence of moisture even if we
cannot see it! We know when aunties cake lacks a little moisture
or when a room feels a little moist. In cold conditions moisture
is also commonly referred to as damp.
Condensation is a term which describes the change of state of
H2O from a vapour in the air into water
as a liquid. This manifests itself as beads of water forming on
a cold surface.
