DESIVENT
CORROSION

Metal
items will quickly rust or tarnish when stored in moist conditions.
Molecules of water vapour attach themselves to the surfaces of
the metal.
At higher levels of humidity the thickness of this layer increases.
A thick layer of water molecules permits ionic conduction which
greatly accelerates corrosion rates.
Lowering
the moisture content of the atmospheric air is a proven method
of reducing rates of corrosion.
